Choices Life Resource Center depends on a dedicated group of volunteers (whom we call Client Advocates) to help meet the needs of families in Southern Indiana. We currently serve families in 4 center locations – New Albany, Corydon, Salem, and Marengo!
Whether you want to work behind the scenes or be one-on-one with clients, there is a place for YOU to serve. All necessary training is provided.
Weekly Team Commitment:
- A Team – Our A Team volunteers work alongside CHOICES staff to perform administrative tasks like answering phones, data entry, and other office work.
- B Team – Our B team helps clients in the Blessing Boutique. Tasks in the boutique include assisting families as they shop, washing donated clothes, packaging diapers, sorting donations, and ironing.
- C Team – Our C team serves one-on-one with our clients in the Consult Room. As a member of the C Team, you will be trained to meet with clients coming in for pregnancy tests, options counseling, parenting classes, and most importantly, sharing the Gospel. These visits focus on getting to know each family to help them set goals, develop life skills, and become the parent they were meant to be.
- Seasoned Dads – Dads are needed to serve in this role for our male clients in our StepUP Fatherhood program.
Can’t make a weekly commitment?
We get it! There are so many other ways to serve.
Share your special talent or skill monthly, quarterly or as a one-time class. Cooking, sewing, budgeting, Bible study….. Whatever your talent, your life skill could benefit our area families in a group class setting.
Help us keep our centers in beautiful condition. Service opportunities are available for individuals or groups to serve one-time or on a regular basis.
Meals for Group Classes
Bless families with a home cooked meal while they attend an evening class at CHOICES.
Help promote CHOICES events in your home church: Baby Bottles, Banquet, Walk for Life and Golf Scramble.
Daytime and Evening Opportunities available in all 5 center locations.
Due to the nature of our services some volunteer positions are only available to adults 18 and older.
Micah 6:8 instructs us to “do justice, love mercy and walk humbly.” We believe this means serving underprivileged families in Southern Indiana.
